Our Science department strives to have teachers develop effective hands-on inquiry that involves a series of steps that builds students’ investigative skills (i.e. observation, questioning, experimental design, data analysis, explanation, and reflection).
M.S. 88 bases its literacy curriculum on the Teachers College Reading Writing Project model. Reading units have anchor texts, suggested independent reading titles or book club titles at various levels, and teaching points.
