It’s almost time!!
Our first day of school is Tomorrow, Thursday, September 7th. The school day starts promptly at 8:20am with Breakfast available beginning at 7:45am in the cafeteria. The school day ends at 2:40pm.
FIRST DAY PROCEDURE
6th Graders should enter the MS88 Courtyard on 19th Street and look for a teacher holding a sign with their class number. There will be plenty of staff members to assist students who need their class placement. Students will go to their first period class in class cohorts and travel throughout the day in the same cohort. Student schedules will be provided during 1st period on the first day of school. 6th Graders should always arrive and be dismissed from the MS88 Courtyard.
7th Graders should enter using Exit D on 19th Street and 7th Avenue. 8th Graders should enter using Exit A on 18th Street. There will be plenty of staff members to assist students who forgot or did not receive their class placement. Student schedules will be provided during 1st period on the first day of school. 7th Graders should always arrive and be dismissed at Exit D. 8th Graders should always arrive and be dismissed at Exit A.
After school programs will begin soon! Sign up and schedule information will be emailed and sent home with your students. After school programs in the past have included Board Games, Boatworks, Art Smart, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Lego Robotics and much more. We also partner with LEAP, a M-F after school program run by the NYC office of Youth Development. More information to come!
